Very good points. Unfortunately ignored by the people who tell us that the Dems control the Senate. Thanks to the changes in filibuster rules, the Senate is now under minority rule, and will continue to be so until the rules are returned to their original form.
1. You misspelled her name despite its being in the cartoon you’re commenting on.2. Obama is somewhere to the right of Eisenhower. You want to talk about socialists, you need to learn about FDR.
I think you misunderstand me. Sorry for not being clear. I have no issue with filibuster, but I do with being able to require every vote to be 60 votes to pass simply because someone can say the word “filibuster”. Who changed the rule is not as important to me as the fact that it was changed.
If the filibusterer (is this a word) had to actually talk continually to maintain it, it would be used far less often. It’s too simple to say “filibuster” and take an up-and-down vote and turn it into a super-majority vote, regardless of who’s doing what.
Minority rule is not a good idea in most instances.

“Fact Free”, as usual, doesn’t realize like “roadkill” that Teddy Roosevelt was, while a Republican, more “socialist” than Obama.
