I don’t believe it! Stellar commercials?! Such crass astronomical commercialism. We need a celestial AdBlocker!

I understand that Tatulli is supporting #BLM here, which I do as well, but I don’t see what’s funny about this one strip.

Thank you for this. And for all of you who are sick of hearing about racism — imagine how exhausted the people dealing with it every single day for their entire lives are.

Speaking of stars…..You know, Dr. Seuss made a good point about the idiocy (besides the evil) of bigotry: those with and without stars upon thars are EQUAL, whether sneetches or people. But the sneetches (or the people) most in trouble at the moment deserved to be heard the most for what one would THINK are completely obvious reasons. But not obvious to those either idiotic or evil (or both). Of course, I’m hoping it’s ONLY ignorance, which can be overcome. Idiocy, not so much, and evil? VERY few evil people ever reform, but of course it is by no means impossible.

“All lives matter”, is not the point. As a retired fire fighter we swore an oath to protect all houses. However, when one house is on fire we put the water on the burning one. This never diminished our oath or care for all others in the community. Thank you Mark Tatulli you are doing your job. The difference between art and entertainment is that art sometimes stimulates deep emotions.

The reason I don’t say “Black lives matter” is that no one (openly) disagrees. It feels insulting to imply that anyone needs to hear it. And if anyone does disagree, slogan repetition won’t change their minds.

There are a lot of cases where there has been unjust treatment by the law, and not only with black people. Someone I know personally (white) was a victim of unjust treatment by the law and it caused physical damage to her. And she wasn’t even resisting. I am the mom of two disabled adult kids and a lot of people act like their lives aren’t as important (and it hurts.) So even not being black gives you a taste of this hurt. There was even a case years ago where a man with down syndrome wouldn’t leave his seat in a movie theater and he was stomped to death basically the same way George Floyd was, but no publicity on that case. And the police got away with it, no charges! No punishment for the cops! At least in the George Floyd case there is accountability, lots of it.That being said, it is true that black people are judged more in a lot of situations. My son is judged by the way he looks too (down syndrome) . So I know how an outward appearance can make you feel judged. And the racial injustice that black people have suffered over the years is horrible and disgraceful. Everyone has been judged but some more than others. And when I think of All Lives Matter to me it means equality for all. Because if we aren’t all equal than no one is truly equal. But right now I can understand why Black Lives Matter is the focus. Off my soapbox now.BTW Lio is awesome.

    Ok, here are the facts.

Wilson (the policeman) got a call about a robbery at a store.

He was responding to the call when he saw 2 men walking down the center of the street he was on.

They both matched the descriptions given for the robbers of the store

He stopped his car by them and lowered his driver side window to speak with them.

One of the men ran off.

Brown (the other man) moved right up to the car door and slugged Wilson through the open driver’s side window, and then got into struggle with Wilson while trying to grab Wilson’s weapon out of its holster.

Wilson managed to retain control of his weapon, and Brown then ran away down the street.

Wilson exited his car and yelled forBrown to stop.

Brown then turned around and charged at Wilson, so Wilson began firing at Brown.

Brown then stopped charging, and Wilson stopped firing.

Brown then resumed his charge at Wilson, so Wilson then resumed firing.

Never, at any point in the incident, did Wilson shoot Brown in the back. This point is supported by the 2 separate autopsies done on Brown’s body. One by the state, and one by Brown’s family’s doctor of choice.

Never, at any point in the incident, did Brown raise his hands and shout, “Don’t shoot!” This point is supported by the official testimony of the witnesses of the incident and the conclusions of the 2 investigations done – one by the state and one by the US Attorney General’s office. And the US Attorney General at that time was none other than Eric Holder.

So, BLM is based on a lie – “Hands up, don’t shoot” never happened. What DID happen was that initially a couple of people claimed that was what had happened (during the first day or so after the incident occurred), and the phrase quickly spread around the US and then the world, thanks to the dark underbelly of instant communication we have now. Later, during interviews and court testimony, those who made that claim recanted it.

Can’t you just leave it alone? What? Feeling guilty? Feeling privileged? Virtue signaling?

Tell ya what. Get on down to Zone 5 in Atlanta and join the black lives.

BLM creates their own “utopia” in Seattle devoid of institutional racism, cops, capitalism, etc…all the things they claim keep them down. And they continue to shoot each other and rob people and blame everybody else.BLM was based on the “hands up, don’t shoot” lie and is just a shakedown scheme to extort money from corporations and funnel it to the DNC.
