Temperatures in the 40s wasn’t unusual for winter when I lived in SoCal ages ago. I remember some small snowflakes falling while at school in the late 60s in Chula Vista. But I didn’t work an outdoor food cart.
On the North Coast of California yesterday we had snow flakes falling all day. Two inches of snow covered cars, yards, roof tops. It is freezing today. Temp has stayed mostly in the 30s & sometimes 40s for two weeks.

And in the DC area today the high is about 80 F. Welcome to the world of the wandering polar vortex.

My power has been off more than 24 hours. (Freezing rain and ice.) Thank goodness I have a generator.
