Trump went down to a border town in Texas and tried to tell the people there how dangerous their town was… even though the those people knew differently. El Paso, by the way, is one of the safest cities in the country.
The more Republican a State is, the higher the rate of domestic violence, the higher the poverty rate, the lower the average income and the lower the average level of education.
Like so many other things the repugs do, the fear mongering about how terrible the conditions along the border are a smokescreen for the REAL message. The facts are obscured or taken out of context to mask the dog whistle that “They’re coming for YOU! For your jobs, your kids, your women!” The facts about crime or how many immigrants are “pouring” across the border are simply irrelevant to the attempt to instill fear and anger(the two biggest tools in the republican toolkit) in their base and hopefully independents. They are trying to convince them that a few thousand desperate people looking for something better are a threat to the American Way of Life as they see it.
Somehow magically the fear of crime goes up (despite the actual amount of crime going down) the closer it gets to a mid-term election when a Democrat is president. Weird, that…

A border sounds great! Donnie says he can build it for a measly $10 trillion. Says he’ll make Mexico (i.e. U.S. Taxpayers) pay for it.

It’s funny ‘cause it’s true. Actually, it’s not funny. Goper hypocrisy and lies are just sad and pathetic.
