The power that cops have attracts a lot of bullies into the career.

I am starting to think that it is the macho attitude that is behind their refusal to take a vaccine, the same way many refuse any counseling or other psychiatric help, as if it reflects badly on their courage.

And now its a bigger threat to them than gunshots.

They SHOULD be fired! AVY person who works with the public ( Teachers, coaches, etc.) and refuses to get the vaccination then they should be fired. The same goes for all the first responders, ( Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, Police, Firefighters) if they refuse the vaccination then they SHOULD be fired! I know that I said that if people do not want the vaccination, that is their right.But, first responders ARE THE EXCEPTION to that! They DO NOT have the right to put the public at risk because the first responder does not want to get the shot!

The refusal of many policemen and policewomen to be vaccinated for COVID-19 is absolutely idiotic. These people willingly (I assume) wear bulky Kevlar vests to protect themselves from gunfire, but even though COVID-19 killed far more police last year than guns, they won’t accept the vaccine.

In Chicago/Cook county it’s all about “political power”. If the Mayor does something without FOP permission, the FOP goes ballistic.

If we fire all the vaccine resisters, we’ll get rid of police who don’t care about the community’s well-being, health-care workers who don’t get how diseases work, and teachers who don’t believe in science or in fact-based decision-making.

Nice, funny how the situation is soo desperate but the government can still afford to fire police officers. Good for them and all the workers who are standing up to these unlawful mandates, if everyone just walked out the government would have to change their tune pretty quick. The people have the power, and I think the government has begun to forget that.
