Politicians lie and exaggerate, we all know that and few to none of them are wholly innocent in that regard.
The RNC convention, however, took political lying to a new level, they simply started with fiction, filled in with fantasy, and ended with Trump lying so much that lightning should have struck him on stage.
Little to no truth was spoken in the entire four days. And by “truth” I mean statements with a meaningful relationship to known or provable facts. They just didn’t do that.
DEMOCRATS were trying to prevent Trump from addressing the coronavirus when it first started – yes, they said that. Given the screams from Trumpophiles on these comments in January, February and early March, you’d certainly have assumed the opposite, now wouldn’t you? And Trump is STILL calling it “not a bad disease” in the face of 185 THOUSAND deaths. This is lying on the monstrous scale. This is a KING KONG of lies, and his febrile base laps up this toxic drool and begs for MORE!
Kim could only dream of such a slavish cult following.
It wasn’t a “convention”, but a circle-jerk of sycophant lickspittles trying to outdo each other in heaping praise on their Dear Leader, and hurling obscene invective and lies about His Majesty’s opponents. Kind of like his cabinet meetings, where they take turns in their servicing. Hell, they don’t even bother to wipe their mouths, anymore.
I believe that Trump is, indeed, a pathological liar. He needs to lie, even when the truth would serve him just as well. Anytime someone believes one of his lies, he gets a psychological boost, like a power pill for his ego. The more lies he gets away with, the more powerful he feels. If he doesn’t get away with it, telling the lie still makes him feel good. Unfortunately, most of his party seem to be trying to outdo him.
Pelosi is right -a debate with Trump would resolve nothing. Mark Twain said" never argue with an idiot, they will pull you down to their level and beat you with experience".

Those pants have been on fire forever. Is this HIS eternal flame ? At least a temporary one until after he dies and gets the eternal one.

And to think I used to think the last few RNCs were nothing but lies.
They look like they were for Washington and Lincoln compared to this one.
The bigger the lie, the louder they screamed it.
