And yet, projects DO get (occasionally) done (more or less).
There’s a bridge from Oregon to Washington (Hood River to White Salmon) that’s narrow, high, scary in the wind AND where they charge a small toll. But it’s a lot better than a long drive or a ferry…
The solution is simple make the trucks take the long way around, through Delaware.
In 1963 Kentucky opened two bridges across the Ohio. The Spence Bridge carrying I-71 and I-75 from Cincinnati and the Kennedy Bridge carrying I-65 traffic north out of Louisville.
From this promising start we’ve had 60 years of poor management and inadequate funding.
Kentucky is a beautiful, wonderful place to live. It is a terrible shame we elect incompetent idiots to our state legislature.
Since when do red states (and Republicans) accept money from the federal government? Wouldn’t that be participating in socialism?
Kentucky is one of those red states that gets more from taxpayers than it pays in.
And remember, for YEARS the U.S. Secretary of Transportation was MARRIED to Yertle the Traitor Turtle McConshell…
Our once world class infrastructure is turning to crap while the rich get richer and the military just burns money like there’s no end to it.
Let me get this straight Necessary. Republicans led by Mitch McConnell from Kentucky had four years to secure this funding and now you blame Biden? Really?
Remember, Typhoid Donnie’s “infrastructure” plan was building a wall.
Remember crossing that bridge and the confusing signage around it. Getting lost is no fun when towing a trailer.
