Yes, let’s heal while the same people are preparing to attack statehouses.

I would have thought this would be one of those times when conservatives say we shouldn’t be asking “Who’s to blame?”, because of course, they are. Except this time, they skipped the usual protocol for their BS and went straight to “It was liberals who did it!”

Before it can be healed, we have to get the poison out. And sew up the bleeding wounds. In that order.

The truth will come out as the republican party is tried for its Un-American crimes during 2021.

It seems that the Right thinks it’s a one way street. I’m all for healing. When regret and repentance are shown, then healing can begin.

Hard to heal while the offending side is still going on.. and on with the battle. More like.. we want a time out while trumps army reorganizes and draws up new battle plans.

Camp Auschwitz hoodie wearing neo-Nazi thug identified

The thug wearing the Camp Auschwitz hoodie has been identified as one Robert Keith Packer of Virginia. In a day full of infamy, this one stood out in its loathsomeness. A symbol of a very dark period of time in our world’s history; a name synonymous with the virulent anti-Semitism of the Nazis and the murder of millions of Jews.

Robert Keith Packer was also pictured inside the Capitol with “other very fine people.” He had plenty of other Holocaust denying Neo-Nazis thugs in the mob that broke into the Capitol, including Tim Gionet aka Baked Alaska, a well known promoter of anti-Semitic conspiracies.

Looks like he has something in common with the other insurrectionists identified and arrested. A criminal record. Trump really sends his best people.

Just like the usual conservative response to gun control debates after a mass shooting, after Trump tries a coup conservatives say “now is not the time to discuss”…

Patriotic exuberance. Boys will be boys. Let bygones be bygones. No harm, no foul. This is not the time.

Did the Republikkklan “representatives” cowering under furniture in fear for their lives think for a moment what goes through the minds of children trapped in the same damned situation in their schools?

You know what would help unify the country? If the Republicans would renounce and repudiate the big lie that there was any doubt about the results of the election and if they would vote to impeach and convict their seditious leader and kick him out of their party; they should also do everything they can to stop the planned attacks on the state capitols. That would be a start, anyway.

This is exactly what’s going on.

PLEASE begs the GOP, let us get away with it just this one time more and we’ll behave! We promise!

After all, they got away with McCarthy, and they got away with Nixon and they got away with Iran-Contra and the S&L bailout and they got away with Bush lying to Congress and they got away with Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump and more Trump.

And then they all turned out and voted for Trump and had an insurrection when the big baby threw a hissy fit and cried in public.

Do they EVER expect to be punished for breaking the law? Why should they?

They never have been. If they are this time, it will be the FIRST time.

Balderdash! The country does not owe Republicans’ a free ride and universal forgiveness in the name of healing for this past year. We tried that after Nixon gave us Watergate. We tried it again with Reagan after the Iran-Contra scandal. We ignored Bush’s perfidy and lies that drove us to war in Iraq. Three strikes and you’re out. Time to hold Republicans accountable for their bad acts and while we’re at it, crush that damned party.

I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, and am no more worthy to be called thy son . . . Luke 15, 18-19.

Reconciliation requires confession. The Republican party must renounce the sedition and insurrection of its own, and cut itself off from those who practice the same. If it cannot do so, patriotic conservatives of good conscience should find themselves a home elsewhere.

How is healing to happen when this faction does not wish to be part of a society that established equal protection under the law and equal rights to people who are not White, male and Christian (of their own particular persuasion of Christian)?

^Over 80 million people know that they are the majority. Are you really going to disenfranchise all of us? You have bought the Big Lie, but the data do not support that lie. I pity you because you cannot tell the difference between truth and propaganda. The tragedy is that you have been taken in by a consummate con man.
