Zucker cannot even eliminate the Russian troll farms.

But, it’s fine. He’s, after all, making money, a lot of it.

And that’s the only thing that’s important.

Facebook and the other social media provide something that people REALLY WANT. Not unlike liquor and the American natives, maybe; hard drugs and all of us: It feels good, but we don’t (yet?) have the genetic, mental, moral, social structures that let us survive the experience. I deal with the hard drugs by avoidance, and the alcohol by limiting my use.

Hmm. So the right answer would appear to be “limit use” to the point that the toxicity can be handled. For some, that limit should be “none”, but for others, as with me and a highball, it might be “one dose a day” (whatever a “dose” of Facebook is)…

As for the ‘toon itself: That “dog” is a metaphor for yet another thing that people seem to become addicted to: Money. Facebook is bigger than Zuckerberg, and (as all corporations) it’s amoral at best, with an endless appetite for “profit”… and Zuck’s quite obviously addicted to the profit that results.
