It certainly seems like this strip is in the midst of a storyline. Anywhere to see the earlier strips?

My first time reading the first Jumpstart. The characters are so well written that they seem like real people. Robb Armstrong has written such a great strip for 30 years and counting!

Every few months Iike to read the entire jumpstart strip straight through and enjoy its greatness

I don’t know how I got here, but it’s great to see the beginning.

I’m curious as to why the archive starts here. I have the original book collection, and it starts with Joe and Marcy in the hospital, frustrated because no name is good enough for their new baby. A nurse comments that their daughter is the happiest baby they’ve ever had, and goes on to say that the gray and gloomy day brightened up the moment she came into the maternity ward—“And it’s been sunny every since!”After a sizeable number of strips dealing with newborns, Joe’s job, Marcy’s job, etc, Marcy persuaded Joe to put in a bid on a brownstone that was almost in walking distance of her hospital. They meet Charlene and Clarence, who are pleased by the fact that Joe and Marcy are unconcerned that they are an interracial couple. Crunchy scornsJoe’s idea of hiring a moving company, and offers his truck to haul all of their stuff….
