Thank you, ladies and gentlemen who serve/have served.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:/ Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn./ At the going down of the sun and in the morning,/ We will remember them.
how long are we going to continue thanking dead people and finally learn that war is not the way to solve problems…?
All we ask From a President is a little respect and willingness to stand in a light drizzle during a commemoration. Not a high bar by any means
If the men who makes the wars had to fight the wars there would be no more wars.
Simple and magnificent.
Seems to me that most people who work diligently on starting wars don’t do it to solve any ostensible problems. They do it because they think it’ll work out best for them. And we all learned, from watching the TV series House, this (just for starters):
Dr. House: Foreman did what he did because it worked out best that way for him. That’s what everyone does.
Dr. Cameron: That is not the definition of being human. It’s the definition of being an a$$.

My father served in the Navy in WW2. I have his medals. My brother has his flag.
Clear and Simple tribute — thanks John ♥
