He might not have yet been able to look up the meaning of the word “sychophant” (especially since his strongest bon mots retorts amount to nothing more than a 6 year old’s whiny and pouty, “Oh yeah? Well, so are you!”). It means apple-polisher, boot-licker, or butt-kisser to someone the sychophant bows to or gets on his knees for, always hoping to curry favor which never is realized let alone forthcoming. That adoration that a sychophant shows is sickly and syruppy but even all of that never brings respect or even any recognition from the object of their adoration.
