I really love how the GQP has gone from absolutely whacko crazy to totally irrelevant in only a few weeks. It’s true that I complain that they haven’t been making any effort to widen their popularity instead of lowering their number. But now, when they seem to be actually doing it… it’s risible.

It’s bizarre to see “Mr. Potato Head” images on the screen behind the Conservative news commentators, as if “he” were an important head of state or a wanted criminal on-the-loose. The Saturday Night Live “Weekend Update” guys should sue.
