When Roberts was elevated to the court, we feared the worse for the ACA, but it was Roberts who saved the ACA by agreeing that the fine for not having insurance was a tax. Thus the ACA was saved to fight another day. Some of our finest jurists, when elected, were seen as being left or right only to make decisions that were seen as being opposite to their brand. I hope this is the case here.
