MAGA rioters asked Pelosi staffers to return items they dropped while ransacking her office: Jamie Raskin

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) told Insider on Friday that several pro-Trump Capitol rioters dropped personal belongings while they were ransacking House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) office — and then they called her office and asked how to get them back.

Specifically, Raskin claimed that some of the rioters called and were “asking whether there was a lost and found because they forgot their phone there, or they left their purse or what have you.”

Quick-witted staffers handed the requests over to law enforcement officials, who promptly “got on the phone and said, yeah, just give us your name, your address, your social, you know, and we’ll tie up these loose ends,” Raskin said.

Raskin said that he found this incredible because the rioters seemed to really believe there would be no repercussions for their actions.

“What’s so fascinating to me about that there really were people who felt as if they had been summoned to Washington by the president,” he said. “And when they were told that they were trespassing and invading the Capitol, they said the president invited them to be there. They didn’t have any kind of subtle understanding of the separation of powers. They just thought that the number one person in the US government had invited them to be there, and therefore they had a right.”

George Conway explains how Oath Keepers appear to be nailed for Jan 6th seditious conspiracy

“It fits this seditious conspiracy statute like a glove,” Conway said. “Here’s what it says: If two or more persons conspire to overthrow, put down or destroy by force the government of the United States or by force to prevent, hinder or delay the execution of any law of the United States or by force to seize, take or possess any property — like the Capitol. It fits like a glove.”

‘Complete sociopath’: Stewart Rhodes’ estranged wife warns he is a ‘dangerous man’

CNN’s John Berman interviewed Tasha Adams one day after her husband was arrested on charges of seditious conspiracy for his alleged role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Adams described fearing for her family and that she was happy he was arrested.

    “So much relief,” Adams said.

“So I understand you’re telling us you feel personally at risk from Stewart, but I wonder what danger you feel, what threat you feel he poses to the country,” Berman said.

“He’s a dangerous man,” Adams replied.

“He is very dangerous. He lives very much in his own head,” she explained. “He sees himself as a great leader, he almost has his own mythology of himself and I think he almost made it come true as seeing himself as some sort of figure in history and it sort of happened. He’s a complete sociopath, he does not feel empathy for anyone around him at all.”

‘Hanging his own clients’: George Conway buries Oath Keepers’ attorney over train wreck CNN interview

He then played a clip of attorney Jon Moseley telling CNN earlier on Friday that his clients had a “somewhat fanciful idea they thought the president was going to call them up under the Insurrection Act, which I don’t understand but they were fixated on — the idea that Trump was going to activate them as a militia under the Insurrection Act.”

“What do you make of that defense, George?” asked Tapper.

“He’s hanging his own clients with the rope that he’s dangling,” said Conway. “He’s basically saying, they were there with the idea — conspiring to use force, because there’s no legal way that Donald Trump could have authorized them to use force on behalf of himself in order to maintain power legally. So it’s just, I mean — the fact that he’s, you know, he’s admitting what’s the core element of the indictment, which is that these guys were stashing weapons away in a motel in Ballston, right across the river from Washington, and had a quick reaction force, a fake military jargon to bring these people across the river and to commit violence. It was a conspiracy to do — to commit sedition by force, which is exactly what the statute prohibits.”

MAGA-rioting Proud Boy arrested after being ratted out by one of his own

In a newly unsealed criminal complaint, Proud Boy Alan Fischer is accused of being part of the mob at the Capitol that tried breaking through the tunnel for several hours during the siege.

“Fischer joined a group of rioters who collectively pushed against the officers – at times rocking together in a coordinated fashion – in an effort to breach the line of officers and gain entry to the interior of the Capitol building” the criminal complaint filed against Fischer states.

Fischer faces charges of attempting to obstruct law enforcement officials from carrying out their duties, of assaulting officers, of unlawfully entering the Capitol building, and of obstructing an official act of Congress.

George Conway Makes Compelling Argument Why Trump Should Be Tried for Sedition

Conway reiterated numerous reports that the then-president ignored multiple pleas for his engagement, and revealed that White House staffers didn’t trust Trump to address the situation live on television, and instead recorded a video message, the first two of which had to be trashed because they did not do the thing needed — encourage the rioters to stop.

“They didn’t trust him to do it live because they were afraid of what he would say,” Conway replied. “So they threw out two takes and they got semi right. Those were preserved documents and produced by the committee by national archives. When those videos come out, I bet you that’s going to be something.”

The first two takes of Trump NOT exhorting his supporters to stop attacking Capitol police and threatening members of Congress to stop the certification of the Electoral College, which of course delayed it? Again, Conway didn’t come out directly and say that looks like sedition but watching his appearance on Morning Joe, it sure feels seditious.
