Before 9/11, I used to generally admire how dedicated Islamics were toward their religion. No frills, no commercialism. Today, I still feel embarrassed before other major religions how we Christians (American Christians, anyway) have allowed ourselves to have devolved, and surrendered to excessive consumerism during the second-most important celebration of Christ.
