An update on how the "supercommittee' is doing.
Superman: I feel so...so weak, it's the kryptonite. I've got to get away...from...it.
Bipartisanship is not a goal — it is a means of reaching a goal. Unless Obama and the Democrats get serious about cutting federal spending, we never will balance the budget. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner recently told Congress that higher taxes were needed so that we would not have to “shrink” the size of the federal government. How else do we balance the budget? Both parties must stand up to the special interest groups and make meaningful budget cuts. A bipartisan agreement to avoid the problem is no accomplishment.
