Yeah. Certainly I’ve thought of this. The problem is that you have basically three audiences. If you tune your message to the loud crazy minority, you turn off both the “anti-minority” group AND the undecided.

    Too bad.

It was the same thing with pink slime. Also with cured meat causing cancer. Conservatives couldn’t get enough of that stuff when they found out!

Ms. Sorenson has electric obviously. Does she wish to eventually compel citizens who have a gas stove to convert ? What would be the penalty for those who decline conversion ?

When a man in Kentucky was being interviewed about his thoughts on Obamacare, he voiced his absolute disdain for it. When he was asked about Kynect Health Coverage(the name for Obamacare in Kentucky) The man couldn’t praise it enough.

It’s the ‘’Please wear your seatbelt’’ phenomenon. ‘’Seatbelt? No way!’’

Could someone could convince these clowns to dump their guns ?

‘’We have written a law now, that states ’’Every guy, with a little willy, must have at least three firearms. No exceptions.’’

This isn’t even new information. A dozen years ago, I wanted to put a gas stove in my house. The thing that stopped me was the impossibility of installing a proper outside vented range hood. That was my choice based on my 20+ years of working with HVAC and the common sense notion of not breathing combustion products.

Electric heat is very expensive, because the whole system is very inefficient. The fuel is burned to produce heat (loss), the heat is used to produce steam (loss), the steam is used to turn a turbine, (loss), the turbine drives a generator (loss), the electricity is transported to the user (loss). With gas you just transport the fuel and burn it. Electricity is not as environmentally friendly as people like to believe.

When we moved into our house, we inherited an electric cook top with solid burners, it was impossible to regulate the heat. We ripped it out and put in a gas cooktop, we have never looked back.

I’m not sure if I am remembering correctly, but I read an article about lead in baby food. They article wasn’t questioning the safety of lead in babyfood. ANY amount of lead damages children’s brains.

When they removed cyclamates from diet sodas in the ‘70s my father in law bought several cases of his favorite brand. It wasn’t a political outrage thing but a lot of people complained and many believed that cyclamates were harmless.

Panel 2 is intentionally misleading. A properly working gas stove produces a blue flame.

For a decade now, I have been contemplating putting in a gas stove because I hate the electric one I have. Now it is being actively discouraged and not allowed in new homes.

Let’s propose a law against jumping off of tall buildings. Then stay away from tall buildings while the Trumpies “own the libs”.

’Cause first they come for your gas stove then they come for your semi-automatic assault rifle. No amount of childhood asthma or childhood decapitations is worth taking away our God given rights.

Good thing electricity was harnessed before now, or else there’d be howls, cries, and protests from the far right, objecting to being dragged into a new, progressive era.

Oh, wait — that’s been happening nonstop from those quarters anyway.
