Is this supposed to be another inflation cartoon, or should we talk about underpaid workers?
Never saw an episode and never expect to view one.
A friend of ours worked at a nuclear power plant and worked very long, crazy hours. Didn’t inspire a lot of confidence in safety.
Homer Simpson – the smartest man on Fox TV.
Still a loyal viewer of a show that amazingly retains its vitality and edgy insight to American facts and foibles.
The problem with the dried formulas was the bacterium Cronobacter sakazakii. Some infants died, some survived by having brain surgeries, even including some portions of brains removed.
What we really needed was to not have baby formulas added to the more recent NAFTA trade agreement (which arose during the last Administration) and not allowing formula production for any large company to be all clumped in one production facility in this nation. There used to be alternative ways to get formula if a clean-up was needed; those were greatly diminished during the previous Administration.
There are some industries where regulation was decreased and that reduction created great and unnecessary risks; some of them are industries where decreasing competition through restrictive trade agreements only worsened the situation for consumers rather than improving it, so when the two exist together it gets especially bad. The ones who paid the price this time have been infants and their loving families.
Arrgh, in the mail a different cartoon by this cartoonist appears but it linked to the wrong cartoon and I did not notice. Then when I went to remove my main I found that the trash can icon is NOT working. Me thinks GoComics is having a few problems.
