One of the main reasons for providing foreign aid to other countries is to make life better there so that people will decide to stay there instead of coming to the US.

Short sighted petty conservatives didn’t see the value in that fact, and defunded a lot of the programs. So now we need to get them running again and that will take time.

If the QPIDS get their way, there will be no immigration at all!! Except maybe from the DPRK, (aka North Korea), Russia and/or the PRC!!

    Funny that!!

It’s not about not welcoming immigrants. It’s about helping them immigrate without taking risky journey’s.

Bottom line: The only effective way to stop potential immigration is to put our economy and living conditions in worse shape than the country the immigrants are leaving. Are we sure we want to go that route?

    Two different approaches:

    - The band aid – let’s build a wall and that will stop them from coming.

    - The root cause – let’s make it so they want to say home.

According to ReTrumpliKKKlans, we are welcoming these people in and giving them instant citizenship and welfare. They are pouring over the border like rats (Do a web search on “The Eternal Jew.”)

“I lost my job in Honduras and my home was wiped out by a hurricane” is not good enough to get in. You will be deported.

“My son refused to join a gang so his dismembered and disemboweled body was left at my front door” may get you asylum.

There is a difference between how the two administrations handle children. The prior administration separated them from their parents by force. This administration is faced wit the issue of parents sending them across unaccompanied.

But…but…but…Hannity announced yesterday that Biden has thrown open all the borders and people are flooding in. Fox wouldn’t lie to us, would they?

I would rather Harris had said, “Don’t come illegally.”

Better to ask them not to come than to lock them up after they get there.

Perhaps, native Americans should have put up a wall when they saw the Pilgrims approaching

The way things are, and the way they’re headed, I don’t understand why anyone would come to the USA

Maybe the GOP could retitle the Supremes’ famous song: “Stop!! In the Name of Hate!”.

I think “Don’t come” was a poorly chosen approach to a miserable situation, but, even though it’s not much more than hot air, it beats the hell out of the former guy’s family separation policy.

What we should really be supplying the rest of the world with is unlimited access to birth control along with pressure to make sure they use it.

A growing economy has always been the most valuable aspect of the immigration by people looking for a dream… their willingness to work at jobs deemed undesirable by the middle class, their building of businesses to support each other thus supporting the economy, a fresh consumer base that supports snd grows the established middle class businesses thereby improving the economy, …. do you see a picture here?…. a growing economy needs a growing population. The influx of immigrants built this country…yeah, yeah…I know…but …there are many who say that this country was built on the backs of slaves… that’s so true…. and so is the fact that there were many forms of slavery…kidnapped peoples sold as chained workers…crims and debtors sold for finite periods as contract-labor slavery…the poverty stricken who fled here who were willing to work for pennies…and 50% of all that labor was performed by women trying to raise families either by doing all the labor of the home or working outside the home, not for “pin money”, but for the money needed to pay rent and buy food. So what’s going to happen if there are no workers willing to work for the pennies and abuse if all those menial support jobs? We are seeing it…businesses crying for workers but unwilling to provide a living wage and humane working conditions. There was once an industrial revolution,…then came a technological revolution…are we going to see an advanced form of a fair division of wealth revolution?
