Minimizing your own problems by comparing them with the less fortunate doesn’t help you, or them. It’s not the quantity of pain, discomfort, or anguish, but the degree..If you hurt, it’s a very real thing that can be a danger to yourself or others. Minimizing that pain by feeling guilty because somebody else hurts “more” is not an effective remedy.
