I predict that this “win” for the Republicans will turn into a loss in two years. No matter if it makes sense or not, the American people will say the Republicans were in charged and couldn’t get things done.
The only real reason the vote switches from one of these stupid parties to the other, is because they are tired of what comes out of the current one. So they switch back and forth “punishing” which ever one has last disappointed them. They don’t have the brains to actually work together to get the system changed. Vote for an independent, or even look to see what everyone represents and vote no matter what party? “No way I don’t want to cast my vote on a person that might lose, I want to be a winner!”
There is always going to be people that vote their party and nothing in this world will changing it. The ones that really decide this are the ones switching back and forth trying to look for a good choice, when there is none.
And all this talk about “The people have spoken!”, and “the Republican trounced them!”. Give me a break “winning” is having 2 more votes over the other party. Yeah sure the people have spoken. They have loudly said they are basically evenly divided, just like their parties. Never listening to possible good ideas from the other side, never wanted to work with each other.
People are predicting that Obama will have to veto a lot bills put through by the congress now that they “control the senate”. Yeah like the filibuster that the Republican have been employing all along is going not exist for the Democrats?
Not to mention hasn’t anyone noticed that the House and the Senate even when they agree that a law should be passed, usually strongly disagree what should be in that bill.
