I can go for some Pope Francis Love (PFL) Love is not something that follows party lines, Howdy. Greed is.

To a convention of bishops: ““We live in the most unequal part of the world, which has grown the most yet reduced misery the least. The unjust distribution of goods persists, creating a situation of social sin that cries out to heaven and limits the possibilities of a fuller life for so many of our brothers.”From a nationally televised homily: “Let’s not tolerate the sad spectacle of those who no longer know how to lie and contradict themselves to hold onto their privileges, their rapaciousness, and their ill-earned wealth.”He and his fellow bishops also strongly criticized an “austerity budget.” I were Paul Ryan (who claims to be Catholic), I would think long and hard about whether his proposed budget is truly Christian.

I have something for you fake news fans. This didn’t come from the usual suspects.North Korea made a propaganda video in Europe showing people living out in the streets in the snow, or in tents.A British travel writer made up his own narrative and fooled a lot of people. If you go to the Daily Caller, scroll down to where it says something about eating snow and click the button..

The cartoon offers hope to the man depicted. While the new pope is anti gay, and anti abortion, he also has been a very vocal advocate on the responsibility societies have to the poor. Religious convictions are the forte of religion. As long as he doesn’t threaten to excommunicate Catholics or Politicians based on their votes, I have no problem with him. Marriage is a religious issue, and in most states, at the point where a preacher/priest/rabbi/imman says “by the power granted to me by the state of X I know prounounce you…”it becomes Civil Union. My daughter had to be married by a local preacher before she could be married by the preacher of her choice who lived in another state.I don’t wish to be specific here, but it appears that the new pope may be a voice for the poor and a voice against the huge disparity between the very wealthy and the very poor.As a non catholic, and for that matter, a non organized religion person, I look forward to see the contribution he makes to the ongoing debates.Respectfully,C.
