The spin from the governor is more than you’d see from a windmill in a hurricane.

Perhaps the windmill will do to Abbott what it did to Don Quixote (it knocked the crap out of him)

It was those cancer-causing windmills that are at fault! Or if not them, then some other thing, as long as it’s anything but the power companies.

The GOP, like country music, is so outrageous that you simply can’t parody it-there is nothing so ridiculous the normal human brain could imagine that the Trumpster doesn’t consider an understatement. And they will never be swayed by reality. So, whilst the cartoon is clever and funny, it is not far off current Republican (lack of) reality.

I live in Pennsylvania. There are a lot of windmills and they work all year round. For all of yall that like to gloat about your warm weather just realize that while us northerners have sympathy for those suffering due to the cold there is a bit of gloat floating around in our skulls when southerners can’t handle a normal winter cold spell.

And, of course, the Republicans in Texas have learned their lessons and will take immediate action to make sure this doesn’t happen again…I almost got that written out without collapsing into laughter…

Somehow, I don’t see him swept upward to the stars.

Reference, “Cyrano De Bergerac” Act 2, Scene 2:

DE GUICHE (who has controlled himself—smiling): Have you read ‘Don Quixote’?

CYRANO: I have! And doff my hat at th’ mad knight-errant’s name.

DE GUICHE: I counsel you to study. . .

A PORTER (appearing at back): My lord’s chair!

DE GUICHE: . . .The windmill chapter!

    CYRANO (bowing): Chapter the Thirteenth.

DE GUICHE: For when one tilts ’gainst windmills—it may chance. . .

CYRANO: Tilt I ’gainst those who change with every breeze?

DE GUICHE: . . .That windmill sails may sweep you with their arm

    Down—in the mire!. . .

    CYRANO: Or upward—to the stars!

Gov. Abbott (Costello?) has been too busy making it hard for people to vote to worry about weather issues. It’s all AOC’s fault.
