And they said it would never happen. Here’s to the happy couple!
The End end?
If true, I came aboard late, but enjoyed the ride.
If this is it, thanks and good luck Paige!
To my loyal, patient, supportive and kind readers… a heart-felt thank you for joining me on this amazing journey.
From George Gustines in today’s NYTimes: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/19/arts/design/janes-world-paige-braddock.html
The best of everything to Jane and Dorothy…..
and to you, Paige!
We’ll really miss you!
Thank you for all the time and effort you’ve devoted to this strip….
and for the years of entertainment we’ve had.
And if one of these days you feel like taking us along and peeking in on the happy couple,
I’ll be here!
Paige, thanks for all of the amazing adventures. Good luck on your future plans, you & Jane will be missed.
And I said I wasnt going to cry !!!!
Awww didnt realize this was the final strip :(
Sad that it ends, but it has been an amazing journey.
It is with great sadness that I have learned that this wonderful comic is ceasing. As an old, white, straight man, I would never have expected that I would acquire such an appreciation for Jane and the gang- but now I am sorry to have discovered them, and their funny world, so late- and I will miss them all! Great job, Paige, and please consider running the strip from the beginning so that those of us who did discover your work late can learn and follow the story from the beginning.
I hope this is au revoir! I’ve had a great time with Jane and the gang.
WHOA! Good news: So it isn’t a dream. Bad news: No more Jane for a while! (Who’s chopping those damn onions at 8 o’clock in the morning?!)
Special thanks to Amy Lago for giving Paige a shot. A grateful comics nation salutes you, Amy.
PS: Love the Chuck Taylors with Jane’s tux.
Is today’s strip a dream sequence thing?
I will admit that there have been a few story arcs that just seemed to be “filling space” but all in all for the 5 years I have been reading the Jane’s World comic this has been one of the better written strips.
Are there any plans for it to go into syndication, or perhaps roll back to the early days and run it as “Jane’s World Classics” ?
Well, darn. Congrats, Jane & Dorothy – and say “Hi” to Calvin & Hobbes for us!
Another old, white, straight, married guy who is delighted to see the wedding and heartbroken to see the strip end.
‘“Maybe five years from now, I’ll jump back and see where they are,” Braddock said.’ I sincerely do hope so, Paige. But whether or not – thank you.
I still miss the part about “does anybody object?”
Happy-Sad. I loved the journey Jane and Dorothy took to this point! Loved the supporting cast, especially the pets and the meddling moms! This trip will be missed. Best of luck, Paige, and thank you for sharing “Jane’s World” with us.
Thanks Paige for all the years of fun! I wish I hadn’t missed the really early years. Take care.
We’re losing one of the best comics around, so I’m a bit sad.
It’s been a fun trip, but I didn’t think that mature married Jane would be as good as the goofy unmarried version. Anyhow, best of luck, Paige, with whatever new projects you undertake.
Glad I stumbled on to this strip a few years ago, now I’ll have to check out the back issues
“There is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage.” (Martin Luther)
Paige: I’ve been reading Jane almost from the beginning and I really enjoyed the dreams, the alien abductions, the strange and yet very loving friends and the all-around mayhem that followed Jane around. I’m so happy that there’s a much brighter future for her. In reading other comments…she (and you) will be greatly missed. Best of everything from this point on.
Well, until Jane’s new “Bride” begins trying to do a Total Makeover on her.
This is an Amazing end, Thank you for all.
aw….this is the last one? seems like it should be a new beginning, not the end
Gotta ask… are there any plans for some final book collections in addition to those already available?
Yep going to have to hit the back arrows and read from the earliest available. Thanks and have a great time with other works.
It is hard to find happiness in life. One should take it when it happens.
We’re all so happy for them.
Gawd, I can’t believe they did it! Outstanding!
aw..i want to see their married life….and checked out Paige on line and she’s a cutie
Some good news… The GoComics folks have decided to start the strip from the beginning… the New (classic) strips will begin on November 5th. For anyone who missed the goofy, early years of Jane’s adventures. Hugs to everyone… thanks for all the sweet comments.
I will really miss Jane and all her friends.
How can you stop now. I still can’t name all there characters all
This has been a wonderful read. Thank you and I will miss Jane and all of her friends.
Is there a chance that you will start the strip again with their married life?
so is this the last one?
I want to see the honeymoon….hehe
Thank you so much for the wonderful journey of Jane’s World. Good Luck for your continued success in the future, as well as my warmest personal good wishes.
Nope, just til death do you part
It seems to me a good conclusion point but …..things become real after the marriage
Thanks Paige for all the Goofy and wonderful characters that you created. The entertainment value alone was worth it. But in a greater sense I believe that you have made an incredibly positive impact on how the rest of America sees LGBT people.
