Wouldn’t it be (+ unusual, pleasant, contrary to GQP policy +) if the two sides were able to find a way to work TOGETHER on something important?

The Democrats in Illinois are finally smart enough not to be shy about who’s fixing the roads and bridges. Republicans can vote against everything they want. They do not get to take credit for anything they vote against.

Yeah, well, after Trump squandered billions of Tax Payer dollars on personal property improvements at his Mar A Lago estate and other Trump properties across the U.S., this is nothing.

The Republicans tried it, coming to a compromise on a 1.2 trillion dollar bill, only to have Biden say; By the way, unless you pass this 3.5 trillion dollar bill with it I will veto it!

If the Democrats unilaterally inflict a $3.5T social engineering bill, maybe they should pass a tax bill to pay for it. Taxing only Democrats who support it.
