For about 9 minutes last night Mr. Trump pretended to be the President of the United States. He couldn’t hold it together for one second longer, not even to get re-elected.
Our Sec. of State and our Vice-President are negotiating behind his back. Our (…gag) National Security Advisor stopped the Syrian & Afghan surrender order. Our (…gag x2) Majority Senate Leader no longer returns the White Houses phone calls. All of the States Gov.s are demanding that Mr. Trump end the shutdown.
All of the racists are doubting that Trump! is committed to their White Nation.
And Donald ‘George Wallace’ Trump ain’t going to get no apartheid wall.
Lawrence O’Donnell called it right. He said that (1) Trump didn’t say anything in that speech & (2) other than Warren’s announcement that she’s running, it was the first campaign speech of the 2020 election.
Stephen Colbert got it right in his opening monologue last night too. It was taped before the speech & he predicted that Trump would just read his tweets. The video is well worth watching, since he also thoroughly skewered Trump’s “imaginary numbers”:
