    As soon as they said that he was a mathematician, I automatically read it as BOB. I didn’t even look at most of the suspects, simply stopped at the first Robert (or Roberta) I could find

    Umm. Codes for B and O are not consistent here. If using positional numbers, Bob is 2 15 2. If using closest matching shape it should be 808.

    actually he did use numbers to represent letters – the letters SOS which are the standard marine distress call and Herbert Dibbs marine biologist was arrested.
