My sister bought a ‘Tickle-me, Cookie Monster” for my nephew, and the child is frightened by the thing. I don’t know if it is the motion of the toy that scares him, or the laugh, which sounds like a cross between Jabba the Hutt and the demon from “The Exorcist. Pictures of the Muppet don’t frighten him, nor does the puppet’s appearance on “Sesame Street’ bother him, but the toy is terrifying.

For some reason there seem to be more diaper jokes in the comics lately. It’s enough to make me nostalgic for fart jokes. (I’ll be recycling this comment on other comics today.)
