So, letting crime go unpunished makes us a Banana Republic? Kind of defines a Banana Republic doesn’t it.. letting the powerful get away with.. anything.

Wow. You’re really are going down with the ship.

The FBI obtained a warrant based on eye witness testimony that Trump had not turned over all the documents that they claimed to in a sworn affidavit signed by his lawyer (That’s not going to come back and bite Ms. Bobb and Mr Corcoran in the butt, right?).

They informed Trump’s lawyers and his son, as well as the Secret Service, that they were coming with a warrant. They entered Mar-a-Lago quietly and without their FBI blazers so as not to alarm the guests. Trump watched from NYC on video.

And they found… Yes, Trump did have documents, some of them labeled Top Secret, in his residence. I hope Ms. Bobb and Mr. Corcoran have good lawyers, because we all know he will throw them under the bus and claim that his lawyers told him they got all of the documents. Hey, what can you expect when you work for the Devil.

When was America a banana republic?

As for the rest of the ‘toon I find it a weird place to be. I’ve never liked the FBI. They came across as the Republican’s jack booted thugs. If the domestic terror wing of GOP is branding them as bad I’m quite worried about what would happen if the extremist wing got into power again.

    So “Yay- lesser evil”

    ?

Yet a few years ago Hank was crying “lock Hillary up” and praising FBI’s Comey for violating 80 years of tradition when he interfered with an election by announcing an (fruitless) investigation less than 2 weeks before the election. I’m guessing the color hat Hank wears is brown.

THIS is Payne’s explanation of why it is perfectly OKAY that His Messiah stole top secret/sensitive classified material from the government of the United States.

Yet another demonstration that Republicans HATE democracy and will do anything they can to destroy it in America.

You must be kidding. When crime is OK when the top leader does it IS the definition of Banana Republic. This cartoon is basically aiding and abetting via propaganda.

I can only imagine what the Wokesters would write if the shoe was on the other foot. Seems that by any means necessary to stop Trump is acceptable. America is moving onto shaky ground but we will soon see what Voters have to say. I for one look forward to hearing what they believe.

I guess Payne hasn’t got the memo to abandon ship. The only thing “Banana Republic” here is a man who thinks he is above the law.

Payne should look up the history of banana republics. “Strong men” take over the government by force and declare any election they lose to be “rigged”. They also round up all the opposition party leaders and “lock them up”, stuff the courts with judges that have sworn loyalty to him and eliminate any legislators that oppose him (or shut down any parliament or other government body with any power).

Some of the documents retrieved from Mar-a-Lago were so secret that FBI agents needed a special clearance to look at them, DOJ says — (businessinsider.com)

“In a photo submitted by the DOJ, documents marked “contains sensitive compartmented information up to HCS-P/SI/TK” were pictured by agents in Mar-a-Lago next to a box with an edition of “Time” magazine with Trump on the cover. “HCS” refers to intelligence from clandestine human sources, and is highly classified to ensure their security.…

“Evidence of commingling personal effects with documents bearing classification markings is relevant evidence of the statutory offenses under investigation,” the DOJ said." Not just what he took, but also the total disregard for the national sensitivity/importance of the material.

And there’s been an uptick in murders of our spies AND informants in the last year. – there are many articles that talk about this – it’s very easy to find with a search. Here is just one:

    https://thehill.com/policy/national-security/575384-cia-admits-to-losing-dozens-of-informants-around-the-world-nyt/amp/

Let’s not forget that he’s the sort that will divulge highly classified information without a THOUGHT in order to brag, or at the slightest bit of flattery to seem important. He’s very sensitive to flattery. We know he’s leaked an unknown (for now) amount freely. He revealed classified information to a couple of Russian officials on camera… in the Oval Office …and Mar-A-Lago was/is positively crawling with foreign spies.

If it’s proven that his malfeasance caused the outing or death of an operative, we as a nation must insist that capital punishment is an option for his many crimes.

The idea is to prevent it becoming a banana republic, by enforcing the rule of law. Trump’s lawyers are brazenly arguing the law shouldn’t be enforced in his case, and that’s ridiculous. If you don’t want a banana republic, don’t support a president who so brazenly obstructs the return of government property.

I’m confused by the red hat…. Is the agent a MAGAt who wants that banana republic, but is participating in the “raid?” To what end? Henry, what are you trying to say? I’m confused by the red hat.

What’s our country coming to when the president can’t purloin a bunch of classified docs & maybe turn a handsome profit selling them to America’s adversaries without getting raided by the FBI.

Well, I’d better say this now because if Trump is re-elected they’ll probably raid me & lock me up for saying this: “bite me, Trump!”

Well, Trump did say he could shoot someone dead on 5th Avenue and not lose any support. The MAGA crowd and this cartoonist continue to prove him correct.

Do you treat ANYONE else the same? Your spouse? Your kids? Your co-workers? Neighbors? People who don’t look like you? Why do you equate loyalty to ONE person to patriotism toward the US?

(I fully expect these questions to be ignored, but would truly like to know the answers)

    A) learn the definition of banana republic.B) learn to draw cars as good as you draw guns. C) if he’s a real FBI guy, why is his muzzle aimed at the sky with his finger on the trigger?

When was the last time they raided a Democrat who was a valued member of the Democratic party?

FBI should stand for “Fascist Bureau of Intimidation” because that is what they seem to do these days. The DNC’s KGB.

The IRS is gearing up too. I expect to see in the headlines “Shot while resisting an audit” to feature at least once.
