I think that Payne is hinting that he wants to be Trump’s caddy at Merry-Lardo.

With all the technological advancements, Payne’s brain is stuck in the late 50’s.

Electric will lose a lot of appeal once the subsidies stop and they pay the same taxes as those fossil fuel guzzlers.

Or the fact that because cars are becoming fuel efficient we are less dependent on fossil fuels which makes gas cheaper. It is no surprise that that the big 3 cooperated with big oil for so long – profits for both. Between the less reliance on fossil fuel and trump’s determination to kill manufacturing fuel prices have gone down. Has anyone bothered to see where trump products are made?

Henry, it’s all going electric. You might not want to read conventional oil production projections, but the automakers have to. And I do it because I was literally born to be a system analyst, and to be a good one, you have to take everything into account.

Oh, and please don’t get into the old nonsense of “where will the power come from”?

We’ve already saved more power consumption from the LED bulb and TV switchover than electric cars will ever consume.

And, we’re going renewable very quickly. Whether you like it or not. Myself, I preferred thorium power, but I don’t always get what I wish for either.

Tamperproof? Nope. If there’s intercommunication involved, then it’s always possible for a hostile entity to enter into the “conversation”.

And aside from transmissions on the road, there could also be an inside job of sabotage, e.g., corrupting the code in the next “upgrade”. What happens if millions of cars suddenly start trying to create collisions rather than avoid them?
