I guess this could be funny if Obama was shown spending money on guns and tanks, etc. (i.e., Defense). But really the deficit problem is a revenue problem.

He and Bush gave it all away to their Big Money bosses.

no the cartoon has the CAUSE correct….OBAMA but full truth is both prez and congress and SPEND SPEND SPEND….and IMO the taxpayer as source of payment is 10% correct…the prez and congress are using the CREDIT CARD of future taxpayers….

it is not due to any “deficit” in revenues…..revenues are at the highest in our history….even in the 9.2% unemployment rate claimed by the government (the real rate is U-6, now 16.2% jobless.

Stop the spending and REDUCE spending authorizations.

How embarrasing that Obama should have to buy all that Koch Bros. apparel for the teabagger wing of the Republican party.

Well, at least the ‘toon indicates Obama at least knows what it’s like to stand in line at a cash register, and actually appears to know what he’s buying, and what it costs. The Bush boys didn’t know what bar codes were for, OR how much what they bought cost. They just spent and borrowed, instead of getting the revenue from their “friends” to pay for their purchases. To be fair, like most Americans, if they put it on plastic, and kept getting loans beyond their means to repay, the Bush boys and “Reaganomics” were just “business as usual”. (At least GHW DID raise taxes to start SOME stabilization- sonny didn’t get it.)

To bad the corporations aren’t shown going through the tax payer’s bag. That’s the real reason we’re short.
