“If I can’t be happy, then ain’t no one going to be happy.” Shouldn’t be a 6th grade attitude. Shouldn’t be the attitude of an average 6 year old. On the level of a 6 month old.
In real life, I know families who made the kids’ artistic dreams their priority, and they signed them up with agencies, and they got modelling contracts, and later catalogue work, and it progressed to TV spots, and into acting in plays, etc…
Just enjoy middle school girls because when you go to High school it’ll be diffrent. The school plays is diffrent when you were in elementary and Middle school. After I left Elementary school I never been in any more school plays. It was just a memory.
So, of course, after Heart is done setting up the sabotage…“Dana is sick/has a family emergency and can’t be in the musical! Heart, you’re the lead now!” (possibly followed by, “I was so busy planning the sabotage that I forgot to memorize my lines, or learn any of the songs…”)

I guess working super hard to improve yourself and get the role next time is out of the question.
All sabotaging the play would do is get Heart permanently kicked out of the drama program and get the entire cast and crew mad at her.
