Lol this exact thing happened to me in Junior High and I was Heart. My poor friend tried again more directly a few weeks later and I felt really bad when I clued in.

Wow, color me impressed. I would never have expected to see a sympathetic treatment of LGBTQ issues in a comic strip.

Actually today’s comments have been pretty positive overall with a few notable exceptions. I think that bodes well for the strip and the readership.

I am getting too old for this world. Heart’s world has really shifted from the Tatulli version. I guess that is what the people want.

Okay, I now remember when Tatulli had the arch at theater camp when KAT comforted a panicked Heart by hugging her. They were kidded as ‘lovers’ but I thought it was just close friendship. Maybe there was more to it and KAT was displaying her interests then.

The field of psychology/psychiatry has discovered, through studies over the years, that 90% or better of teens have brushes, of one kind or another, with homosexuality.

Most of them choose to remain heterosexual, but, of course a small % discover that they prefer homosexuality.

I was thinking it was going to be Charlotte who was gay, given her reluctance to talk about boys yesterday.

WOW, in a kids’ strip?!

Yesterday Dean was revealed to be an arthropod. Today Kat is revealed to be gay (or possibly non-binary). I can’t wait for tomorrow! Is Heart actually an anthropomorphic carrot?

Tomorrow it’s Heart’s turn for a sweaty forehead.
