I don’t ever remember doing nothing, there was always something to discover. Not like today where it seems every minute is filled with organized activities, we had the freedom to explore our little part of the world.
There were basically zero activities arranged for me. Well, sometimes I’d have to cut the grass, or go work on the farm, or burn the garbage (in a 50 gallon drum, that was fun). But no scheduled after-school stuff.
I was in high-school band, but that was during normal school hours.

You gotta choose your boredom carefully.
