btw not to brag or anything but every time I see the ad about the editor Lee Salem I can’t help remembering that I taught his kid how to cheat at poker when I was in college and he was one of the kids in our college’s production of “The Music Man”…………….

So ignoring common sense counts as common sense. Should I try it?

“It dropped.” Not “I dropped it.” Calvin, the original no-fault man. He’ll grow up to be a very successful lawyer—technically he did tell the truth.

    I had a person recently complain that I lacked common sense…because I didn’t use common words...True story.

I’ve noticed that we do tend to do that when a little kid is involved, but if an adult has an accident, it doesn’t get the same reaction.

The dumbest people I’ve known claimed to have common sense, like it was a badge of honor to have what everyone else has if you consider what “common” means.

With a youngster like Calvin under her heels, I’m surprised Mom doesn’t use melamine dishes; or at least, Corelle…

“I didn’t actually BREAK it, per se. You see, I was just carrying it around the house; I’d toss it up into the air, and catch it. But then I tossed it up so that it would bounce off the ceiling; and kinda land on the kitchen floor by mistake. And so I didn’t actually break it; rather, it broke itself. Yeah. That’s it. It broke itself. (Big grin!)” Calvin (now sulking on the bed, having just been sent to his room!): “Unfortunately, when you’re only six years old, your sense of irony really isn’t all that well developed!”

Why do they call it “common” sense when it’s so rare?
