How’d she do on the ASVAB? Because maybe she doesn’t want spend four years learning a career that won’t be there when she graduates.

Huh. You’d figure that Gil is a gym teacher, at least. I wonder (and no sarcasm here, really) whether the strip’s ever covered plain old gym class plotlines, which might resonate with those of us who didn’t actually play varsity HS sport. Nothing I can recall in the last 30 years, anyway …

College is actually not for everybody, you know. And taking on a college debt because you’re really good at softball seems really stupid.

I assume Mimi’s class is P.E., right? Surely she doesn’t actually teach a classroom full of students in an academic subject, like Coach Kaz’s course in Goegraphy… Gogeraphy… Maps & Stuff. (You get an “A” in the course if, by then end of the year, you can find Italy on the globe. You get a “B” if you at least get the right hemisphere.)

In all reality , how many kids who have Mimi 4th period will cut it today and will Corina go to Dr Pearl and lodge a complaint that Mimi is bullying her to go to college , inquiring minds want to know .

And so we leave the library board story arc, never knowing if Zane or Burito won. And once again CK has become the center figure in a new story arc. Is this the 4th or 5th story featuring CK?

2 weeks or so to wrap up the Spring storyline. There are 12 full scholarships available for D1 softball schools. Much like college baseball, no school can afford to offer a full ride. They get creative with grants before student loans. There can be 35-40 kids on a team.

P1, Actually, pretty good for a reform school girl.

P2, So, she’s way too smart to be going to Milford.

P3, I hope we get to see Gil teaching Mimi’s 4th-period girl’s gym class, but why didn’t Mimi just ask CK to teach the class. She does everything else at the school.

Mimi resorts to using her secret agent code name (One-M-One) in her quest to destroy the will of a defiant 117 year-old. She best tread lightly.

Even Gil, who has a history of meddling with kids lives, is telling her to drop it

What can IMI possible set up at 11am. I am thinking Clarence shows CK what her life will be like if she doesn’t go to college!

Mimi decided that she’d have a better chance of influencing CK by changing her hair color to match CK’s.

Mimi’s looking younger and younger and finer and finer every day…she is a hand pourer though.

Mimi in p.2. “So is that good or bad?” Gil in p. 3. “Wait what, you teach class?” At 4:30, Mimi makes her final pitch, emptying the vending machine of ancient Twinkies, Hohos, and Fruit Pies!

dadjo is on to something with Mimi’s coffee cup. She and The Gilfather are customers of IMI Concrete. Purchase orders are placed then people mysteriously disappear.

“She only took the college prep exam once, but she scored 28 out of 36. The exam’s proctor escaped with only non-life threatening knife wounds.”

So let me guess. This sounds stupid, so it might actually happen. Mimi is going to leave school when she’s supposed to be teaching, and is going to talk to Corina’s mother. Then we’ll find out some heartwarming crap about how Corina is taking care of her and nobody will be there for her if she goes off to college, or some other sap like that.

It’s also rather pretentious of Mimi to just assume Gil can sub in her classroom at the drop of a hat. As if he doesn’t have anything to do. Bah ha ha, good one, he never has anything to do.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Because this is Milford, Mimi cannot go Woke. Instead she’ll call Tru and go Wake! CK has, in the meantime, enrolled in the school of Hard Knocks. While Mimi does bicep curls with a coffee pot. See it’s all coming together.

Time for Mimi to light a fire under CK’s mom!

Just once, I’d like to see one of these “tough rebel” characters be lousy at school. Making Awful Girl™ a secret genius is an eye-rolling cliche.
