What’s with the baby bottle in P3?
Well … as to that, Bobby giving Max just plain aspirin would be an expulsion offense in my state. And given those idiotic zero-tolerance policies nationwide, Milford probably has the same.
Mmm, a hearty dinner of romaine lettuce and Brussels sprouts.
They keep that in the kitchen to remind them they once had kids.
Looks like Bobby made a real ass(pirin) out of Max.
Here in Maryland, Bobby would get suspended and possibly prosecuted. This, after all, is the state that suspended and tried to jail a 6 year old for eating his Pop Tart into the shape of a gun.
It was a P-p-p-p-p-placebo? Way to go @BitsyTwill you called it just yesterday! If Max wasn’t on medicine does that mean Bacon was cured?
Bitsy you should really copy write Placeberall before one of the big pharma companies steals the name, You could make a killing selling it to them.
Gil’s working on the big pot of Frog Crotch stew. Next they’ll sit down at the fancy eatin’ table.
Well I got that one right.
Help! Help! Please let me out of the trunk!Kaz
Max can now change his name back to Jethro!
Gil seems totally focused on Bobby’s oversized hands.
OMG! Bitsy was right!
In all reality, notice that Gil just called their parents and did not report anything to the principal . No actions by the school , no suspensions from the team and no lesson learned by Max or Bobby but basketball playdown hopes are still alive. Way to go Gil.
Hah! Fancy eatin’ table, Jethro. Granny and Ellie Mae cheerleading for the ’Larks. In the next episode of Milford Masterpiece Theatre, Raymond Bailey will play the role of Wildcat Maris and Nancy Kulp will affectionately pursue Jethro, err Kaz.
A placebo! Damn, it was so obvious, we should have seen it coming from the start! Although, as Ravenswing said he still gave him a drug, even if it was “low-dose.” He should be suspended at the least. And Max kicked off the team. But let me guess, Max will play in the season finale and play well and realize the magic was inside him all along. <barf>
Gil looking like Martin Sheen of Apocalypse Now vintage, post heart attack in P1.
Then, in P3 he shows up wearing one of Kaz’s watches with the 1960’s wide band. Hmmm….no Kaz, watch being worn….pretty suspicious.
There’s something called “sarcasm”, you should look it up.
Max unfortunately will be checked into rehab as his aspirin withdrawl forces him before the big game to go into the parking lot offering various services for a low dose aspirin.
Not so fast on the placebo story. The truth is that Max was experiencing joint pain from his recent growth spurt, and the aspirin provided some relief and improved his game. Bobby is a genius!
I wonder if David Hedison is still on the web.
Max is probably thinking, Wow! If I played so well on 80 mg, just think what I could do on 325! Too bad Milford doesn’t play New Bayer.
Please, please! This is Milford, it’s twenty years behind your states. The parents are like the Cleavers, those boys are going to get a talking to. and those hands aren’t Bobby’s. That’s two other students hoping to get called on cause they know the answer. The mystery cup is a “Sippy” it has a straw that goes round and round and Mimi likes cause she can watch the beverage coming toward her mouth, Wee!! Sunday, Monday, Happy Days
P3: Mimi’s sagging boobs are a metaphor for what’s become of this strip.
I think it’s one of Marty’s gin-filled sippy cups in P1. But I’m so caught off guard by the surprise plot twist I’m not thinking straight.
Maybe that’s a pot of possum stew that Jed, I mean Gil is lifting from the stove
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Bobby’s Mom question him about the missing pills or wonder why he was running low?
I think Bobby claimed his mother was hovering around the pill bottle and kept him from getting some for Max, but that was just an excuse for holding out on Max to impress Leisl with his forecasting ability.
To summarize, two 80 mg aspirin pills were saved so that Bobby could impress Liesl with his Nostrodamus-like predictions, all the while preying on the insecurities of grey matter challenged Max with the final result being two L’s. OK, the Pilgrims are gone, let’s get away from this Turkey. Move along, nothing more to see here. First person to mention a Peacock gets it right in the frogs’ privates.
What!?!?!?!? He gave Max a placebo? I did NOT see that coming!!
Now that that is out of the way, I can’t wait for the Annual Girly Cursive Starting Line-up card to announce the start of another baseball season!
After looking in the archives, the Girly Cursive Starting Line-up card isn’t as ‘annual’ as one may have hoped…….but it should be.
Pills? Has somebody been giving somebody pills? Did I miss something here?
Only thing missing now is an appearance by Dash Riprock!
Best line ever on that show. ‘Hippie dude’ to Jethro: “Like when you flew back here from England………. did you like use a plane?”
Towel joke in today’s “IN THE BLEACHER’s”.
I can see it now. Henry Fonda as an aging Whitey Bulger type and Katherine Hepburn as his cantankerously independent Moll placed into witness protection with the Clampetts acting as a ‘cover’ family in Beverly Hills. Working title, hmmm… ‘On Ceement Pond’? I apologize.
