Good question, Bucky!
Bucky is right about it being a scam.
Fewer people do read or write loopy anymore.
That’s Lou F. Flowers, Bucky
Jack Spaniel wants the dough!
Oh and Bucky, Lou Flowers played 3rd base for the 1936 Dodgers.
Well, Lou, I ain’t got a buck, but this Bud’s for you!
Hummmm will this “Scam” be a new Bucky start up company ?
Loopy letters are Bucky’s territory.
Send donations down the loo just like the poor little fish.
I like loopy, though i just realized i dont write much of anything any more much less loopy
My writing used to be so full of loops and swirls that when my son wanted to forge a signature for school, he used his dad’s scrawl that was much easier to copy.
I suppose loopy writing, like the ability to read an analog clock, is no longer a “necessary skill.”
What a perfect name for a goldfish!
I’m surprised Bucky didn’t make a pun on “cursive”.
I get Car Warranty letters, and charities I never heard of!
Laptops are nice, but I still prefer to write with pen and paper. It just feels more gratifying for me.
Surprised Bucky can’t read loopy, he certainly thinks loopy.
An obvious scam: Send donations. Fish named Dubloon. And yet Satchel is sad. Another Bucky victory in the cerebral department by default.
A 20-something niece seemed to be having problems with some paperwork she was filling out, so I asked if I could help. She admitted that she couldn’t read the note that the employer had written with information and instructions because it was in cursive. That was easy enough for me to help her with, but I don’t know what she or others will do in the future. (Look for gray-haired people, I guess!)
My kids, now in their 30s, went to a school where the third grade teacher made a big deal of cursive, as the secret that would be revealed in 3rd grade!
I never had good handwriting and I write with a combination of printing and cursive. Those cursive capital letters are, well, yuch!
If you ever try to read cursive documents from 100 years ago, you may be surprised to find that your modern script only gets you so far. Always evolving.
It’s from you Bucky. You’re the scammer
The second panel of the 4/4/2021 Get Fuzzy should read … I am writing to pass along the sad news that my goldfish Dubloon has passed on to Davy Jones loo …
Not “latrine …”
Get it? … loo … lieu … Lou …
