World’s most “popular” sport? sure—-because most of the fans are the lunkhead direct desecendants of soccer’s founders. A game whose origin was kicking around the heads of the people in the village they’d just laid waste to - GOL!

I hate these strips where Bucky kinda makes a very sardonic point. It makes me feel like a terrible person.

I love hearing that soccer is boring from people who watch golf on TV.

Speaking of fixed…..has Bucky been “fixed” yet? Might want to look into it. He might have a daughter just like him!

Only sports more boring than watching socceer and golf: Fishing, bowling, and Magic the Gathering and I even play (you can’t even see the cards on TV).

I like watching…some, and sometimes, but not much…and I really like Buck’s analysis.

Yeah, give Bucky some money. Reminds me of this engineer I used to work with…

I suggest that when they give points for diving, they give extra points if the player dives onto a cat. Starting with Bucky.

Actually hockey is slippery soccer, except you never see a dive or flop. Those guys play for real.

The world might as well face the fact that soccer will never be truly popular here in the states. Just not violent enough. And Masterskrain is correct, the only reason we watch is to see if there is a riot of soccer hooligans in the stands. Give me a good football game or hockey match anyday. The only soccer that I ever truly found exciting was the indoor game.

Sorry, Rob – like fighting in hockey, spitting in baseball, and pantsing in rugby, diving is a part of soccer.
