"We're going to my mom's for a late easter dinner. But she's not cooking a turkey, so-" "We're eating it live?!" "What, no rabbit?" "Rabbit? For Easter? What are you, crazy?" "Christmas turkey, Thanksgiving turkey, Valentine's Day marmot, Easter bunny. It's a tradition!" "Does that mean people eat Saint Patrick's Day leprechauns?" "Yeah, man. They're, like, magically delicious." "No,no,n-hold on...Valentine's Day what?"
I have been to a few of a friend’s Easter rabbit roasts. He has a couple of hutches of rabbits. It’s pot-luck beyond rabbit. One year, a guest deep-fried one of the rabbits in one of those deep-friers made for turkeys. Pretty good.
