If I remember right thumbs down usually meant death. I believe President Biden is working to save lives. And the previous guy and his minions are working hard to fight against sanity.

So lessee now, Biden ordered all Federal workers to get vaccinated, clearly within his purview.

And Biden told OSHA that COVID-19 should be considered a workplace hazard. Since it obviously IS a workplace hazard, and OSHA is charge of reducing/mitigating workplace hazards, that’s also well within existing and long tested government powers.

So just WTF is Varvel referring to anyhow? That the JD is going to help defend teachers and schools from overreach by governors who’ve tried to take over the powers of local school boards and school superintendents? Is that it? Qubbies can’t find anything else, so they’re defending attacks BY THE STATE AGAINST LOCAL GOVERNMENT BY CALLING BIDEN A DICTATOR?

Y’all got no sense at all.

This is right on the money, except I would have said “Dictator” instead of “King”. A president cannot FORCE people to get vaccinated and cannot FORCE businesses to FORCE their employees to be vaccinated—it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

Oh Gary, you silly. Caesar had the governors well under control. It was the Senators that are his problem.

That was proven beyond a reasonable doubt when Trump was elected. They have not done anything since to prove otherwise.

Say, Gary, aren’t you just recycling the cartoon you drew when “King Dwight” Eisenhower used federal troops to overrule Southern governors who didn’t want to let wrong-colored children into their public schools?

GQP is working the lie that vaccination mandates are unconstitutional. This is a (weird) take on that, I think. Or else it’s that same quality take (but even dumber… is that POSSIBLE?) on the fact that some courts have ruled that Governors can’t DO that about school masking and Biden has gone on record considering that a good thing.

So why is it, Mr. Varvel, that some GOP elected officials and governors are okay with all other vaccines except for the FDA-approved vaccine that has been proven to be most efficacious and a life-saver against a deadly pandemic that has killed almost three quarters of a million Americans?

Oh yeah, that’s right. Because your criminal wannabe-dictator ex-President said so.

Why is it okay for GOP elected officials to resist the vaccine for purely political reasons, and see their entire health systems and economies near collapse as a result?

This is not being “conservative”. It’s murderously criminal dereliction of duty.

Here’s a FOX “News” clip of one of your idiot pals, FL Gov DeSantis, nodding “yup, yup, yup” in stupid approval while a Q-anon twerp ranted that the COVID vaccine modified human genetic material.

Maybe that’ll stir your creative juices for tomorrow’s yellow-journalism screed, Mr. Varvel.

“your freedom to swing your fist stops where my nose begins.”

Your freedom to spew virus stops where you share air with others.

The Supreme Court justice who wrote the majority opinion in that 1905 smallpox case( which approved vaccine mandates), John Marshall Harlan, reasoned: “Real liberty for all could not exist under the operation of a principle which recognizes the right of each individual person to use his own, whether in respect of his person or his property, regardless of the injury that may be done to others.”

LOL, every time there is a Democrat in the White House it’s only a matter of (short) time before the Republicans are accusing him of acting like a King… and they ignore their Former Guy who actually expected to be treated like a King…

President Biden: “I order every governor to mandate vaccines. However I will not mandate vaccines to my staff in the White House nor I will mandate vaccines for Congress staff. Rules for thee but not for me”.

Well, most business leaders across the country think the vaccine mandates are a good idea. And if the carrot doesn’t work, the stick might. Of course, there’s the possibility of seeing their unvaxxed friends and family members falling ill getting the remaining holdouts to get vaxxed. But whatever works, I guess. There’s finally more unvaxxed than vaxxed, thankfully. And people are continuing to get vaxxed up each day, reason eventually penetrates all but the thickest of skulls. We won’t be able to convince the really hard core anti vaxxers, but that’s on them! Especially if it means less MAGA voters will be around to vote in next year’s midterms and beyond.
