Um, sure. Is going to a ball game a “right”? Was voter ID the only thing in that bill designed to keep certain voters out? Did that bill do ANYTHING to actually make voting better for democracy?

After giving 30 different IDs, none were deemed valid and he didn’t get the tickets, just like you can’t vote unless you go to a certain designated place and pay lots of money for one.

Are tickets to sports in the Constitution and/or the amendments? I don’t think so. The right to vote has been widened throughout our history. Only those scared racists are wanting voter restriction. Shame on them.

Voter I.D. is not the issue and you know it. It’s about restricting access and limiting the democratic process. The south has been perfecting their system for the last 160 years.

I don’t mean to imply that Gary Varvel is brain dead, but this has been in place for years. But, then, I’ve never seen Gary’s id so who knows if he really exists?

Stuck in line to vote? Talk show host Ben Ferguson warns not to accept free food, no free hot dogs from Hitler Youth.

What’s stopping voters in line from bringing their own picnic baskets and water jugs? ( I’ll bet that will be added to their bill next).

Yet MLB is still allowing it’s product, for a fee, to be carried on a Chinese platform. The worst human-rights violator on the planet gets a pass but GA get’s targeted for adopting voting laws that don’t let political hacks hand out water. Hypocrisy much? Same with the NBA and their BS social justice stance while they rake in $$ from China. When the GM of one NBA team tweeted support for the pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong, the league came for him, as did some of the players, like the IQ-challenged hypocrite, LeBron James. Unreal…sports should just stay out of this stuff.

Is going to the stadium a founding principle of democracy? Are you assigned to a specific stadium based off of your residence? Can your stadium experience “not count” if there’s something suspicious that happens? Do you need photo ID if the tickets are mailed to you?May I end with: false equivalence.

Since the “GOP” does not have any positive agenda items, they make up “issues!”

So, Mr. Varvel, if this solves the problem, are we to now believe that teenagers never drink using a fake ID, or that this also solves the crime of identity theft?

Odd how GQPs demand that government not interfere with business’s decisions and practices… except when they don’t like those decisions and practices…

The law allows the Republican controlled Legislature to come into a County and take over all aspects of voting. The who, where, when, and how is in their hands and they will use it to eliminate minority voters as they did in 2018 when Kemp (then Sec. of State) kicked some 700,000 people off of the rolls shortly before his election as governor. The water in the lines issue is a red herring to distract people from the Legislature’s preemption of honest voting.

The basic issue is that the republican controlled state removed over 100,000 people from their voting rolls and Trump still lost. SOMETHING HAD TO BE DONE

Washington State fees for ID: Driver’s License, $89; Enhanced DL $113; Standard ID (non-driving) $54; Enhanced ID (non-driving), $78. These must be renewed every six years. Documents required: one Stand-alone: such as U.S. passport, $110 (plus buying passport photos); one or more A-list documents such as a certified birth certificate, $25; or expired driving license or expired passport, etc. All the supporting documentation must be certified originals, not photocopies, all of which require fees at some point.

You can request some of this on-line, always supposing you have a computer and internet access. If you don’t, both Washington Driver’s license offices and Alaska drivers’ license offices (the two states where I have done this) have long lines and long waits. My local Driver Licensing Office is open Tue-Fri, 8:30 -5 and Sat 8:30-2;30.

The Democrats have had their reign of voter suppression and cheating for over 150 years in the southern states. Add to that their KKK terrorists brutality of lynching, murder, mayhem and intimidation. The Republicans have a long history of fighting against that and this law is another nail in the coffin of Democrat Jim Crowe voter fraud.
