Seriously? He is claiming the Democrats are stopping the bill? Really‽‽ In fact, it appears very clear that neither side is working well with the other (no surprise), but Mitch had already promised to stop anything that wasn’t “pure Republican” and then when it began to look like he’d be called on it, he shut the Senate down for their usual fall campaign season.

The republicans wanted to eliminate all parts of what the Democrats offered that would actually give "relief to those who need it.

The version of the Covid Relief bill offered up by the Republicans would be better represented by a child on a tricycle and a toy doctor’s bag.
