Memories. Over 55 years ago our small town High School basketball team had an away game on Saturday afternoon. The bus driver of the rooters bus was a local pastor that we all knew. On the hillside was “Jesus Saves” in bold white letters. On this Saturday the message had been changed with “Green Stamps” below by college students. The driver noticed the bus leaning to the left suddenly as the kids pointed out the window. The bus leveled out after we passed by. Many today never heard of Green Stamps.
I always kinda wonder at the delusions the various religions call “real”. Such as this. Though I do recall my mother telling me that I was going to be so surprised when I got to heaven. If she’s right, then she’s right: I will be mightily surprised. On the other hand if I’m right, she wasn’t surprised when she died and… nothing else happened.
