Might I suggest you read the newspaper instead…perhaps the obituaries? (Oh wait, Garfield swats spiders with a newspaper every other week. That’s been done.)

It’s true that I would risk breaking my Ebook reader by squishing spiders with it, but I don’t like to treat real books that way, either.

I asked my daughter to hand me a phone book. She rolled her eyes and gave me her iPhone.

Now the spider’s dead, her phone has cracked, and she’s not speaking to me.
