Maybe it’s a leaser, I saw videos of red spots moving everywhere on the wall while cats were chasing it on You Tube. It’s owners were using laser to put red spot on wall and cats chase it.
at the Boston Aquarium you can play/mess with the penguins. there is a projector that shines the image of a silvery fish on the bottom of their swimming area and they got after it. you can really see them building up speed like “this time I’m gonna get it.” while off to the side you just know two older penguins are discussing “I caught it one you know.” “You never did.”

no matter how hard the cat tried to catch the red dot, the red dot always ended up on the cat’s paws instead of underneath
