Once here, long ago now. That was frightening watching 40 foot sycamores twisting like flowers. The front of the house was washed almost to the porch ceiling.

If you see sideways rain theirs a tornado close by. Get to cover.

As I live near the shore of Lake Erie, I see sideways rain often; also sideways snow, sideways hail ….

I see that pretty often when I’m lying on my side in the grass.

I have seen a storm blow the flags out of a golf course.

I have, and it weren’t no Tornado. Just really small drops in a really stiff breeze.

My time was in Iowa – really stiff breeze – no trees as a windbreak. Thankfully, it wasn’t a hard rain.
