My Favorite Cup of Tea

I love it hot in morning light / With sugar and with milk / The flavor strong and welcoming / Slides down my throat like silk

I love it cold in summertime / Brewed by the noontime sun / Just lightly sweetened perfectly / Some ice cubes and its done

I love the many flavors found / Right on my cupboard shelf / I brew a pot and pour some out / For you and for myself

I love my special china cup / With matching saucer, too / To sip while curled up on the couch / Is what I like to do

My favorite book in one hand / My kitty on my knee / My favorite music playing and / My favorite cup of tea

The drink of kings and princesses / Is my drink just as well / I do enjoy my cup of tea / As anyone can tell
