I played the circle of life at my sons funeral, he loved his cats, put rubber gloves on and stroke them they don’t mind that and it gets rid of a lot of fur.
I have a Shark vac also (with the rotating brush attachment), which does work great — not directly on the cat, but really pulls all the cat hair off the couch cushions and out of the carpet! Then there’s the brush for the cat and the lint roller for me when I want to leave the house without a coating of cat hair…
That makes me want to sing! It’s the circle of Life. and it moves us all! through despair and hope. through faith and trust. till’ we find out there! on the path unwinding! It’s The circle, the circle of life!!!

Very similar to the circle of lint . . . try a hair dryer when you take him outside; shaking him will just result in tons of scratches.
